Tanzanian president sweeps streets on independence day

Today being their independence, President John Magufuli, Tanzanian presidenyt has surprised citizens by joining a clean-up group outside the state house in Dar es Salaam. President Magufuli cancelled independence celebrations and ordered a general clean-up in which he participated in. Tanzania then Taganyika won its independence on the 9th of December 1961 and has been improving year after year...

Former president Jakaya Kikwete, who stepped down after describing the job as “stressful and thankless”, also took part in the clean-up.
